As you may already know, I am part of a local group of writers who gather weekly to share their writing. The writers in our group come from amazingly diverse backgrounds but we come together to share in a community of writing, listening, learning and seeking to understand each other and our world a little better.
It is in this spirit I share our latest offering made possible by our leader Linda Langlois who spends the many hours required editing and finalizing details to make our work available to others. The fact is many of the writers in our group are published in various newspapers, periodicals, and books. But, the beauty of the group is we all come for the love of writing. Period. So anyone who has the slightest inkling in that direction is welcome. As a matter of fact, you might not even realize you love writing until you get around a group of crazy, word-loving wild-eyed writerly folk.
So here we are at the end of another year of writing adventures…with this offering available- I have heard many of the stories shared in this book, and I assure you if you enjoy short stories, poetry, and a well-turned word, I encourage you to treat yourself to this anthology! I promise you will not be disappointed.
The poems listed below are my contributions included in this anthology and they are not published anywhere else; however, I have read a few of them at local poetry events. Although I like to let poetry be open to interpretation of the reader the poems shared for this anthology are – as always – a glimpse into the heart and soul of the one who writes. These poems were written and/or worked on over the last two years. Especially significant to me and for our times are The Wisdom of Trees and Winged Community which both have been shared for local events. If you would like to hear me read any of the poems listed, let me know in the comments and I will consider sharing a video.
