The God of Interruptions and Everyday Distractions

I sat at the table preparing for my quiet time.

I had already been willingly displaced from the Living Room  by a family member.

I had poured fresh coffee, Bible laid out on the table before me and my journal and pen handy. There are mornings when these tools facilitate well intimacy with God for me, helping  reign in my wild mind, allowing me focus for prayer, renewal and instruction.

Then there are days, when I feel like a seashell rolling to and fro in the morning surf.

I can’t get settled, focused and am prone to distraction.
