Blessed Be His Name (5 Minute Friday: Bare)

Credit
And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”
Job 1:21
When it comes right down to it, this is all that matters.
That His name is blessed.
From the dawn of time to the end of all things, He is God.
Whether I choose to believe it or not.
Whether I reject truth or not.
He gives and takes away.
Nothing is that is not from Him.
He knows every thought that has ever been conceived or perceived.
Whether one chooses to accept it or not.
He exists and created all that exists.
My own acceptance of facts does not inhibit reality.
From the womb to the grave, He holds my breath.
Is my very breath.
Without Him is death.
Bare before Him…
I choose life because He lives and was and is and is forevermore.
Do you believe this?
Blessed be His name.
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Hebrews 4:13
So many things swirled through my head with the prompt at Lisa-Jo’s today: Bare.
Come on and join in. Best 5 minutes of the week.
So often I find the state of my mind, victories and battles of the week- or moment reflected in this exercise.

PS. I re-read after linking and I confess I corrected “Whether I reject truth of or not”. (of to or) Sorry – it drove me crazy once I spotted it. I refrained from editing the rest. I know. Bad girl.
Forgive?

  1. In my opinion, editing typos is ok. I do that too. It's the “real” editing that you shouldn't do… the pouring over and over and over… I'm a little obsessive so this exercise is rather difficult for me. Well done, though. I enjoyed it. Definite truth.
