Well here we are in our little snowed in state, heading into week three of Home School.
Most school is cancelled so my girl and I headed over for a visit for prayer (and fun for kids) this morning.
I was with two of my favorite friends on the planet AT THE SAME TIME and they also happen to be two sweet prayer warriors. Talk about a sweet way to get your foot up on Monday!
Bad news: My computer is down, so I have limited access.
A great deterrent to checking Blog Stats! Blessing in disguise?

| Friday night- it never stopped snowing! Yes, that is our Christmas Wreath still hanging. Why yes, I do know it’s February. We just have a LOT of Christmas Spirit and it refuses to be quelled. Or at least that’s what we tell ourselves and my mom, who keeps asking us to take the wreath down! |

| Grateful for the dozen workers and six trucks that worked from 2:30- 6:30 to restore our power. WE had it back by 8:30 Saturday night…or around there somewhere! |

We are wintering in ARizona which is going through a “cold spell” but nothing can match the north.I love the pictures, particularly “Welcome to Narnia”. I too enjoyed starting my Monday with such inspirational ladies. Love the pictures and I knew you(he)couldn't continue without the coffee that Saturday. BTW next time you go stamp crazy call me!

Glad everyone is safe and sound and none the worse for wear after the big snow. We went without power after a storm for 3 days once when I was a kid. I thought it was a grand adventure…cooking in the fireplace, parents who had nothing better to do in the evenings than play games, sleeping under mountains of quilts…I doubt now that my parents shared my enthusiasm. lol Have a wonderful week!

I wondered about you and your family. We still have memories of the Blizzard of 1978 here. Things like blizzards get people to the grocery store. When I worked in a library, I often heard, “I need to get some books in case we get snowed in.” If I heard it once I heard it a thousand times.

Thank you for calling my attention to this post today! I've kind of had a busy week and haven't been keeping up with my writing and reading. I have to confess, we have been watching the 1st and 2nd seasons of “Downton Abbey” in the evenings and I'm hooked….never saw it before this. Now I have to find the 3rd season from the beginning and get up to date…I've never been this hooked on a TV show before in my life, but it “reads” like a good book that I just can't put down! To answer your question about the Hawk visiting, yes, could be a sign of the storm to come if you have not seen him before visiting your yard/birdbath. He may have been looking for a pre-storm meal to tide him over until the snow clears! You are fortunate to get such a good picture of him. They are beautiful, even if they are deadly to other birds and critters. So glad you all survived the storm and made the most of it. Now just wait for spring to come. 🙂
