“Individual cultures and ideologies have their appropriate uses but none of them erase or replace the universal experiences, like love and weeping and laughter, common to all human beings.”

― Aberjhani

Hello, friends and fellow sojourners … I am sharing a testimony from one of those who has journeyed with me for the very first Planner Boot Camp adventure I led. I know some of you may not know much about what I refer to as  PBC, but you will be able to appreciate the invisible presence that protected and guided this military leader to safety. My heart still aches as I get a glimpse into the heart of one of my fellow “planner people” and her journey toward hope.

Today, I’m inviting my 2017 Bootcampers as well as you who have stumbled onto this website from the wonderful and wild world-wide web now, to hear a powerful story. One that continues to humble me, and propel me on to offer this labor of love known as Planner Boot Camp.

Here is her story:

I Am a Planner Girl: The Master Planner and Me

origin_5402329418 (1)

O LORD, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done marvelous things,
things planned long ago.
Isaiah 25:1

I wrote this short post in 2012 as a guest contributor for 5 Minutes for Mom’s  faith based sister website 5 Minutes for Faith. I believe is still one of the the most honest and revealing posts I have ever written. It is one of those moments of observing who I am in my humanity, and who I am through the eyes of grace. When I wrote this, I wanted to show what I believed the root of the struggle was really all about for me and how I choose to continue to trust, even though I stumble, fall and fail. Because the One who upholds me in my imperfection, is Perfect, and I am free to be me…imperfectly.

I’ve pulled it out of the archives to share again, as Planner Boot Camp approaches. I pray it blesses those who read it for the first time. I hope it gives insight into the heart of Planning with Purpose and my heart in Planner Boot Camp.

Thank you for taking the time to read. I pray it blesses you wherever you are in your own walk of faith.  More

Are You Ready for Planner Boot Camp?

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. Viktor Frankl

I get a lot of questions around this time of year about planning, planning methods and planner products. I have spent a good part of my life thinking long and hard about Time and Planning. I’ve had a wealth of experience helping people plan better as they attempt to adopt healthier habits and cultivate new lifestyles. Some might say I am a planner person. But the truth is,  I am a planner girl by need NOT nature.

People often see me with my notebook in hand and comment about  how organized I must be. They assume a planner has some magical power to make one organized! Trust me,  a planner..  is not a fast pass to planner perfection and organized living. No book, but one, has power to supernaturally transform us.

When The Cat Pukes on Your Planner-Thoughts on Messy Signs From God

I know what you’re probably thinking to yourself…EW- who would ever write about cat puke on  anything, let alone their planner.

Well, friends, welcome to my world. It’s a place that is fun to visit, but if you are queasy, you do not want to live here with me. Quite honestly, I think God has unique ways of communicating with His children. I know that for me, when there is a point to be made or a lesson that I need to learn, God clearly shares when His ways and my ways are not in alignment. Sometimes this is a messy lesson for me.
