Hey, It’s Miscellany Monday!

Well, it has been some time since I have posted a Miscellany Monday post. But guess what? You,  lucky little pumpkin lovers, are in for the ADD writers thrill of a lifetime! I exaggerate but still, I write, so deal with it. If you recall those posts from my old blog, they were by far the most popular posts. Excluding guest posts. Which means you really like other people to write on my blog, and/or for me to just randomly share my crazy self in a miscellaneous fashion. It’s OK, I still love you.

The reason I wanted to reach out and communicate straight away is I have a couple of announcements to make and I know this next month is going to have my head spinning! So welcome, grab your coffee, tea, or cider and let’s catch up!

The Me I Long To Be (Ironing Not Required) @5MFF

I have a confession I would like to share with you today. I have a hard time with the domestic side of life my life. OK, I’ll just say it. I really Stink, with a capital S at the whole domestic side of life. I am convinced my mother has a gene that just did not get passed down to me. It’s the one that rejoices in ironing. I am not joking. The woman finds ironing therapeutic. Meanwhile my husband knows that asking me to iron would require us both to be in therapy. OK, that is a bit dramatic but you get the point…

Because…Sometimes Rest is the Best Choice

Because, my eyes can barely stay open, after two and a half hours of sleep in the past three days.

I think I’m hitting the wall, but there’s just one more thing I can squeeze in.

Because 5 minutes of writing seems like a good thing to do, despite my heavy lids.

But, I confess it has been worth it.

Introducing Planning with Purpose: 31 Days of Planner Tips – October 1-31

final with bigger31

“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.” ~Anatole France

Welcome to my new series for October. Hands down this year my topic for the Nester’s 31 Days Series, had to be planners and  planning. I am pretty excited about the topic and it is one that is near and dear to my heart. My own history with planner love started out many moons ago. Dinosaurs still roamed the earth. Life was simpler then.

OK, OK, but truthfully, life was simpler when I used my first planner. I was attending community college, working part time, and single. Friends, life was a breeze. I remember my first little At- A -Glance Agenda like it was yesterday. What prompted me to use a planner was actually my first Personal Training Job. Before then, I don’t know what I did…I just went to classes, worked wacky hours with little sleep and basically showed up, by the grace of God, in all the places I was supposed to be without much adieu.

Wine and The Word: Savor and Serve by Kurt Senske (Book Review)

I like wine. I like the Word of God. I like when a person can take a subject they know well, bring powerful truths to light, and communicate them clearly enough that I may benefit. When I was asked if I would like to read and  review Kurt Sense’s Wine and the Word: Savor and Serve my interest was piqued. I was curious. I am certainly not a wine connoisseur, so I wondered what  I might learn about both God, wine and whatever else this author had to share about the connection between wine and our Spiritual  lives.
