Quote Journal (RJD Link 9/13)

This month for Random Journal Day I thought I would share my Quote Journal.
Who doesn’t love a well turned out verse? We all have our favorite quotes, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a place to keep them? Well, that is exactly why I keep a quote journal. OK, honestly, I am inconsistent with this one since I usually write whatever quote strikes me in my regular daily journal, but sporadically I make an effort to capture them to this place. So here are a few from the pages of my quote journal. I hope you like them. I think I will make an effort to be more vigilant in filling these pages in the days ahead; Then I will share with you a follow up post with new treasures. I hope you can read my journal writing. I have also included a few from the journal that are not pictured. Feel free to share a quote with me that I might add to my Quote Journal in the comments section.
Happy Writing, fellow Journalers!

  1. Beautiful post. Loved seeing your journal! Love the idea behind this link up but could not find the link. So I will share my quote here…”Grace binds you with far stronger cords than the cords of duty of obligation can bind you. Grace is free, but when once you take it, you are bound forever to the Giver. Like produces like. Grace makes you gracious, the Giver makes you give.” (E. Stanley Jones). I visited from Friendship Friday. Have a great Friday,Joanne

  2. Dawn- Thank you for hosting us…my friend Lynn Morrissey shares about collage-journaling at my place today…I do the same thing try to collect quotes in one place but they end up in my current journal. Here's a recent quote:”The most precious gift we can offer anyone is our attention. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will blossom like flowers.” (Thich Nhat Hanh)

  3. I love this. I haven't kept a quote journal in years (since high school!); like you I write those I like in my regular journal, scraps of paper, grocery lists, receipts, my hand. But my husband keeps a quote file on his computer. I love that, “We live by God's surprises.” (I've already written it down! Thanks for inspiring me–AGAIN.

  4. What a wonderful idea. I need to go back through so many notes and journals and pull them out and start a quote journal too…wish I'd thought of this sooner. I've forgotten so many good ones already. Thank you for sharing these with us. Great idea!!!
