Really I am not sure it is a blessing or a curse that when I have a prompt like
“Here”, pre-coffee, my mind starts belting out a Beatles tune.
I am actually not a big fan of them.
But there you have it.
My inner life for better or worse in all it’s randomness.
I never anticipated the here in my life.
I sit, peering over the desk back at the 24 year old interviewer.
Am I old enough to be his mother?
Yes.
He looks back at me, and we proceed.
He asks questions, I hope he sees me.
Not an ancient creature.
He asks what brings me here.
He asks what brings me here.
I have already, prayed Lord, if this is your will.
I’ve already prayed the one word prayer I rely in when in need.
Help!

When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody’s help in any way.

I'm convinced God has heard your prayers and will give you the job that is right. It can feel humiliating at a job interview feeling as if you're being sized up and approved or not. Remember, all the interviewers care about is filling the position with someone they are confident will fit in, it says nothing about your worth as a person.

Unnerving, the 24-year-old interviewer! But…Help! was one of the three words that made up one of my most fervent prayers. “Lord, HELP us!” And He did. Miraculously. And I've seen Him supply employment in the same near miraculous way, to me and others. “If this is Your will” is such a good inclusion, because we never know if the particular thing we're after is the best thing He's got up His sleeve or not. Praying for Him to give you peace and meet all your needs, and to steer you by His yes or no.

I read something somewhere that a lady's favorite verses in the Bible were: “and it came to pass” because it reminded her whatever she was facing, no matter what, it too would pass. Whether anxiety, stress, pain, or needs yet to be met, it too will pass. ❤ you!xoxo

I am totally relating to you today… as going on two years of this. I haven't been in this place for 28 years, after a long time job, and it's crazy. But I do believe that God has the open door for each of us. So many ministers I hear lately talk about how God moves in our praises, that we need to praise Him that we know He already has the place open that He is bringing to us (before we see it). So I am declaring God's promises of Deut 28 (as Jesus brought back to us Gal 3:13,14) and encourage you to declare those promises too. I do love the Beatles! Just relax and …breathe. 🙂 If this job is meant for you, you will get it. After all, I'm sure you've prayed about it. I had to return to the work force after being 'retired' from a 25 year nursing career. So now I am working with a classroom of three year olds and loving it. It is weird to be interviewed by one so young isn't it? I totally understand your question about if he sees you. Especially at my age, I feel invisible sometimes. hello, I'm a person here!Good luck with the job search.
