Announcement!
Yes, announcement time is here at Enthusiastically, Dawn. It has been a HOT minute since I have announced anything. But since you can no longer find me on Facebook, Instagram or X posting or scrolling mindlessly, these days you will most likely find me kicking the stones on Narragansett Town Beach, or walking the seawall with my new hip – Praise God for getting me through that journey. Or now that we are on the brink of all things fall- happily curled up with my one (or more) of my three cats and a book stack- YES, bring on Fall! It is my second favorite time of year!
Today I am inviting you to join me here for daily journaling prompts beginning September 22 and going through October 13. Just three weeks, or twenty-one days investing 5-10 minutes a day will allow you the opportunity to discover the power a small but regular journaling practice can make. If you can commit to this journey, I believe you will find that writing for five, ten, or 15 minutes a day can help you to clarify your thoughts, and tune in to that still small voice within that you long to hear.
We can spend our time ranting on social media, or instead develop stillness, the quiet strength of fortitude and calmness to the core by tuning into our own voice and The Voice that longs to speak directly to our souls and be heard above the many competing voices vying for our attention. What would you give to understand yourself better?

This journaling journey might be right for you if :
- You find yourself lacking clarity, focus, or vision in this season of your life.
- You want to journal but never actually make the time.
- You recognize the potential benefits of journaling but have doubts about how it can benefit you personally- (ie. it’s ok for others, but not you).
- You are open to journaling but have no idea what to write about.
- You want to feel less fragmented and more focused.
- You’d like to jump-start your creativity.
- You want to find realistic ways to fit writing into your life.
- You are looking to discover or learn something new through journal writing (whether about yourself, others, God or any area of interest).
- You have loved participating in any of these experimental endeavors: 200 Day Journal on Instagram, Planner Bootcamp or other crazy challenges!
The first post will be Sunday, September 22. It will be an introduction, with a few tips and helpful information to optimize your journaling journey.
REQUIREMENTS: You will need a notebook and pen, a timer.
MORE DETAILS HERE: Fall Into Journaling (instructions on signing up through wordpress to receive the daily posts).
Incidentals: A set time (if that works best for you- otherwise be flexible and JUST WRITE when you can), a place that is quiet (unless you adore noisy ambience) and one item that makes you smile or happy when you see it. Ideally this is an object, but it can be anything. It just is a reminder that you are doing this for you and when it is out and on the table, it’s journaling time! It might be a stone you found at the beach on vacation or a special shell, it could be a candle that you burn only when you write. It can be a plaque, or a small statue. It could be silly, or serious. It really can be anything but it must make you smile and be special to you and you alone. When you are ready to write, set it out with your timer. You have a week to choose it so that is why I am letting you know now!
The posts will be PROMPT focused, with multiple ways to respond. The prompts will be short but never underestimate the power of a moving pen in the hand. I will offer encouragement along the way, some practical tips, and solid information about the benefits of journaling you can file away in your brain for the future.
Let’s Journal-
Enthusiastically, Dawn

So there are two ways (maybe three) to be sure to get the daily posts (aside of just checking in at your convenience daily on the blog (they will go live midnight of each day). One- subscribe to the wordpress e-mail, or two the “follow on wordpress – if you are a wordpress user). I will send a reminder to my mailchimp e-mail list- if you get that already- at the start. I hope this helps, if not, e-mail me dawn.paoletta@gmail.com – and I think based on the questions I am getting and because per usual I think about things for a long time but often announce them without much notice- I will create a page tab at the top where all the posts will be available throughout the challenge (and probably Fall). I’m excited too! ;)

Hi Hun, this looks fun. If I sign up will I get the daily prompt in email or what? Can I post about it on my SM platforms even though you are not on them?

Hi Susie! Yes, I encourage sharing on social media if you use them! For me, I need to stare clear but for those who are able to navigate social media well, more power to you! SHine your light- and mine for me…lol. As to receiving the daily prompts, I am going to schedule posts to publish at midnight…so if you are subscribed through wordpress you should get those e-mails daily (yikes- daily in your inbox!) – if you already get an e-mail when I post then you should be good. Good question though…HOpe this makes sense…I hope it’s fun, and absolutely hoping to get back to my blogging roots so- here goes!

Hey Susie, if you look in my sidebar – there is a black box that says JOIN IN – that will send an e-mail confirmation communication through wordpress to your e-mail requesting permission to send you my posts. You can adjust how frequently through that- whether instantly (this would be what you want for the challenge) and always adjust in the future. Make sense? I just tested it but I have also created a page and tab which will also have all the prompts as we go as they go LIVE.
