Well, my dear friends I bet you never thought you’d see the words Quiet Time and You Tube in the same sentence, right? Better still -here is a beautiful irony, I never thought the day would come when I would actually turn a camera on myself (or a tablet, more accurately) and talk to you all there in the Blogosphere as though you all were sitting with me, face to face…but ya’ll the time has come.

I want you to know that it’s OK if you never watch a video I make, I will NOT hold it against you! You see, sometime last year I began watching some crazy wonderful folks who love to share their planner love on You Tube. Now I have been a planner girl my whole life but there was so much inspiration and creativity, not to  mention peeks into  many planners and I found myself smitten.

Soon, washing dishes became You Tube planner video watching time. All of a sudden washing the dishes was a blast! There are many crafters , planners, and I dare say Journal folks as well on You Tube. I have not dared go often to Journal Land on You Tube, as I may never escape!

I have viewed just a couple, and I am using self-control to not delve further for fear of being sucked into You Tube land forever…and she was never heard from again.

Recently, I began using the Arc Notebook System by Staples. I love it and decided to jump in and share my Arc journey through You Tube. I had considered doing a Planner series here and was considering doing short Coffee Chat videos occasionally sharing journals.

Well, it’s just like me to jump in the deep end and swim with the sharks! I learn best by just jumping in, because otherwise…I just will NEVER do anything. So for better or worse…I went forward in my new-found Arc enthusiasm and jumped in.

I am still “practicing” publicly…but I wanted to let you know in the days ahead I hope you will join me as I share a coffee and some thoughts through the world-wide web via You Tube.

I honestly am NOT a perfectionist (obviously!)- one peek at my videos will tell you that.

I saw a friend at church today, who said she had watched my video and it was exactly like sitting across the table from me…and she has done that many times so there you have it! My goal is not to impress you with my amazing techy ability (I still have no idea what I am doing) , snazzy speaking  (ha and ha!) or my hair and makeup (snort!) … you will get me the way I am…just me, Dawn. Of course the enthusiasm is there.  I probably won’t make a video for you if I am feeling down…obviously, but you will get the girl behind the words here.

Well, today I will share with you this peek into my Arc Quiet Time Notebook. It is a short video and not a face to face one. But I promise I will let you know when I do the Coffee Chat video, and hope you will join me. Thanks, Friends!

Love the video!! Your quiet time journal is wonderful. I like how you are keeping it simple. I always complicate my journals trying to color code and organize them. I think it’s why I stop doing them so often. Thanks for sharing!!!

Glad you like, and I am so not a color code girl!

I really loved your video- you inspire me to write more in a journal. Which I really need to!

Great job, Dawn! I am intrigued by your Arc – but daresay, I can’t budget for it now – and have too many journals as it is! Just started a new one for follow up from the writer’s conference – OH MY! I think my life may be changing in this coming year. I will be posting about some things on that score soon. Meantime – Toni Campbell and I are buddies – we were in the blogging class together and I’m featuring her in my post for the blog hop this week. Waiting for the other two gals to get me their bios. Loved connecting with like minded bloggers up close and personal!! Will probably post by Wednesday. I’ll let you know when it’s live.

    Be in touch!

      Hi My Dear Miss Kathy,

Having Toni Cambell is a blessing she is one of my very favorite bloggers, I wanted to ask her as well…I just have been so busy offline and with a number of commitments the timing to read, write, blog, live…OY. I am overdue for an extended Blog break, I think. Soon.

Nice! You had to tell me there are journal videos on YouTube, didn’t you? Seriously…I like your videos. They’re informative and it’s so awesome to hear your voice and see you.

I know. Don’t hate me for it…it is a horribly addicting behavior that I picked up by accident. All of a sudden I was like I’m not the only whackadoodle! This is my new favorite word for planner people. Myself included. I honestly have to keep my planner from being a distraction in and of itself (the adhd thing) and I think some of the videos make me wonder how they have time to do anything but decorate their planners! Be careful out there ! Let me know when you make your first video. lol
