The Promise Of A New Name

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna,
and I will give him a white stone,
with a new name written on the stone that no one knows
except the one who receives it.’

Revelation 2:17

Some days I really long for the hidden manna, He promises.
I am grateful for the grace, truth and provision in the present moment.
But I long for my new name, white stone and the promises to come.
He is faithful to keep His promises.
I place my trust fully on Him and the promises to be revealed.
Now and forever.

Oh yes. I know some people who were given a “new name” on this earth by the Lord. If I were given a new name, I wonder what it would be? Thanks for linking up today Dawn!

I'm loving the sound of the waves.I love Sundays! Thank you for your wonderful words.I attended the online Saddleback Church service today to hear Nick Vujicic. His words truly touched my heart. I can not believe how emotional I still am. “If I fail, I try again, again, and again.. If you fail, are you going to try again? If you can't get miracle, become one”. Nick Vujicic

I too live near the beach but it's on the Gulf of Mexico. I never see the water or hear the sounds without my heart crying out in praise. I also wait for certain promises to be fulfilled. Even though the wait seems long, I remind myself, where else can I go? He alone is faithful.

Beautiful. I love the thought of a new name..and the white stone, which my Bible note says “signifying approval”…Oh, to be approved by God…with His special name that is written down for me…I look forward to that marvelous day. Thank you for this hope.

When I read Revelation, which is often, I always enjoy thinking f the White Stone that is part of our lives… our forever, future time in heaven.
