Mask or Armour?

Official UN- Invite to my Pity Party!
Please don’t come, but I am accepting gifts of PRAYER!
I will not pretend it has been a good day. I will not lie or wear happy face mask.
Today has been one of those days where you know the enemy is working overtime.
By the time I realize his handiwork I have already walked
into a few of his discouragement traps!
Have you ever found yourself ill prepared for the day?
Ever get sucker punched by Satan?
Well this chick fights back!
I will not have a pity party. I will not give into guilt.
I will stand on the Rock,
I will trust and wait upon the Lord.
I will Armour UP!
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God,

so that when the day of evil comes,
you may be able to stand your ground,
and after you have done everything,
to stand.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

~Ephesians 6: 10-20

I’m Still Standing!
Oh, and guess what? I am giving thanks today in these YUCKY circumstances and am here to say-
even on my worst day I am still GRATEFUL to belong to the King of Kings!
He is faithful EVEN on the yucky days!
Special thank you to Cecelia at Following My King today for the sweet Bloggy award.
Pop on over and visit her site to check it out!
Wasn’t God thoughtful to lay it on her heart to give me my first Blog award on a YUCKY day?
That disqualifies it somewhat from being a completely YUCKY day!
Is yucky an actual word?
Have an UN-YUCKY day Friends!
The joy of the Lord is our strength,
Armour up and Fight With Me!

Dawn: We all have those YUCKY days. One of my expressions is, :It's one of those days- and it's lasted (insert a number) days. Days like that take me to the valley. A dear saint of God told a Sunday School class that we are the most teachable when we are in the valley. God is good.

Sorry to hear it's been a yucky one but so inspired at your will to fight it. I think that admitting it is also a super effective way to fight it. satan loses when we are open to others about our discouragement because then it is no longer a weapon to make us scurry back to isolation and self-condemnation. Yay you warrior girl! Throwing a pity party can be just so very tempting can't it? Ha! But not very fun after a while. 🙂

Oh man, earlier I wrote you a really great and long comment full of wonderful uplifting stuff, but I must have moved on before hitting “PUBLISH” ! It was about yucky days and that the simple act of your talking about it removes it from satan's hands and makes it powerless. Because his goal is to cause us to isolate and get all self condemned and hide from God and each other because we think we are unworthy of Him. Pity party are oh so tempting but not very fun after a while. Ha! Yay for fighting back! I like your “Armour Up!” Awesome!
