Today begins a journey, a quest in time, one might say. Or better still an exercise in relating to time. So I offer just this image I took this morning as I set at my desk, contemplating the day ahead. The one verse resonating to me being Psalm 90:12.
The Bible is there too, I just was grabbing the pretty colors for this snapshot.
So for the first day of my Planning with Purpose series I share an image and guiding verse for the journey. A reminder of the Heavenly Compass that guides my days, His Presence and Word.
A Practical Tip: We all need time to plan our day – Make opening your planner a priority by doing it at the time it works best for you. Although I am in and out of my Planner all day, first thing in the morning (before or after quiet time usually) works best for me. A clear desk, cup of coffee and checking in with the One who is the Ultimate Planner empowers me for whatever may come my way!
A Quote to Ponder: “Your planner is like an artist’s empty canvas just waiting for you to make it come alive.” Jenny Penton
A Prayer for Today: Lord, you are the One who set the stars in the sky, yet you consider me and my days. Nothing is beyond your care, and touch, so I ask that you teach me to number my days in accordance with your heavenly perspective, that I might know and do those things which will bring the most blessing, glory and honor to your name. Give me wisdom in the little things and the big, and grace for the rest. And at the end of the day let me rest trusting it is enough. In Jesus name, Amen.
This is Day 1 of the series Planning with Purpose: 31 Days of Planner Tips
I wrote an INTRO POST here explaining everything!
I have also made designated a PAGE for it. Hope this makes it easy. I am happy to tackle a topic, or issue regarding your planner habits.
Feel free to leave a comment or e-mail me.
I pray this series is a blessing to you.

I saw yours on Facebook and honestly was so tempted to write in response to the prompt as my first post…but I thought that might be confusing! I even have an image for MOVE! ANd a song…plus it goes with my planner theme…lol. I may yet jump in at some point, Barbie! Hugs.

I totally agree with you about using planners. I stopped using a physical planner because I would go out and buy the largest, prettiest, pinkest planner I could find and I couldn’t carry it everywhere So, I started using my calendars and that saved a lot of space. I highly recommend everyone who has anything happening in their lives to use some sort of planning tool!
Also, I receive your prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dawn- Love turquoise! And I can’t wait to glean from your planning wisdom this month…I love the simple verse and quote to get us started…makes me want to go get my planner and check it…I have abandoned it lately because I keep track of life on the phone or on a wall calendar and in my journal…I need a journal/planner combo!
