All I Ever Learned in Life I Learned from Planner People

I wanted to let you know of the latest article published over at Carie Harling’s Paper Planning Magazine. When I wrote this article last year, it was a semi-tribute to the many contributors who have impacted my plannerly lifestyle. The list isn’t exclusive, I could have added a number of other names, and stories but for the sake of simplicity, I went with the milestones moments in my planner saturated journey.

Planning and Living the Life You’ve Imagined?

IMG_0984

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler.

Henry David Thoreau

How often do you think about the way you’re living life? Better still how about how you are planning your days? I think perspective change comes at us in a variety of ways. It can be thrust upon us, as in an emergency, or it can creep up on us slowly.

“Individual cultures and ideologies have their appropriate uses but none of them erase or replace the universal experiences, like love and weeping and laughter, common to all human beings.”

But the truth is,  I am a planner girl by need NOT nature.

People often see me with my notebook in hand and comment about  how organized I must be. They assume a planner has some magical power to make one organized! Trust me,  a planner..  is not a fast pass to planner perfection and organized living. No book, but one, has power to supernaturally transform us.

I love to share my enthusiasm for the Journal Keeping habit with my friends and adhere to the philosophy “One can never have too many books” …blank ones preferably, with lots of room to write thoughts, dreams, and randoms. I have also discovered that many desire to keep a journal but struggle with what to write on a regular basis, beyond the superficial. Here is where the features offered in the Success Choice journals reign victoriously!
