The One True King

The One True King

Today, a meditation on 1 Samuel, and considering the great things God has done, in the one true King eternal who is and was and is to come.

The One True King

This endless desire within us
to see evil in others, to continually
find fault and point the finger at
one another

for every perceived injustice
or what others have failed to do
for us has nothing to do with God.
It is a scheme of the devil himself.

For as long as we accuse one another,
seek to justify ourselves, fault-find,
and criticize each other, it will continue
to be impossible to do what is only possible
with God

we will not be able to love the way
the Father loves, we will not follow
The Way, but instead

spit in the face of the one who made
a way, where there was no way.

This might be acceptable for those
who are without, but it must not be
for those with –

for there is only one King, and one
Kingdom eternal.
