Grace Upon Grace (a whispered witness)

Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

John 1:16-17
NIV

This morning I headed out for a walk and coffee at the local Bagel place. Walking so often helps me find my pace with God for the day…I think of all His walking, from Genesis to the Emmaus Road…all this walking, and longing to connect with us. And so few willing to acknowledge the very One who longs to walk alongside them.

Well, all this to say, these days I find my comfort in mostly staying away from the internet. I hope this is not perceived by those who have enjoyed reading the words offered here on this blog as neglect…and yet I have been neglecting this space. For that I offer my apology. I am writing in the quiet places, and sharing as He allows. Meanwhile accept my Holy Week and Easter wishes, along with a poem (written in 2015) I shared here awhile back. May it bless you anew.

Grace Upon Grace (A poem I wrote in 2015)

It’s in the quietness
I hear Him,
as I gaze upon his Word
and read anew the stories
of what’s been seen and heard.

Entrusting himself to no-one,
this Son of God and Son of Man,
but availing himself for many-
according to God’s Mighty Plan.

Grace upon grace
a holy door-
The light of God’s own face
Jesus was more
than Moses then,
when fulfilling the Law-
giving his life
for life to secure.

Let your heart not harden
to the Chosen One today,
Lamb of God, Messiah-
Jesus is The Way.

I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”

John 1:34 NIV

Thank you for taking the time to read. May you find the One who is unseen yet ever present to be the peace that keeps you.

Enthusiastically, Dawn

I’m Dawn
