I have a fun fact for you. I lean a bit towards the ADHD side of the spectrum. This has blessings and …well, challenges. Mostly, I think God is well pleased with me as His creation and child, so I don’t worry to much about it. Occasionally it produces something useful. Of course it all depends on your perspective. Sometimes it can produce utter chaos. Ask my husband. Or my mom, God rest her soul, who regularly proclaimed, “Hurricane Dawn has struck again!”

This particular post is about one of the better outcomes. Back in November 2023…I received a BIble for review. I actually am quite fond of it, and since reviewing it, have been using it (along with a few others) for daily study. You can see the review of this Bible HERE. However, it drove me a little crazy that the publishers omitted an index of the featured biographies and creeds. I shared this in my review. I also, painstakingly paged through that BIble and created the list I felt was needed. It was satisfying, and somehow cathartic. I felt like this was a needful thing. I don’t recall feeling so strongly about an omission of such a feature off the top of my head.

Recently a reader reached out and asked for a copy of the index, which I had mentioned I would share if anyone was interested. At this point, I realized that although I had made a list, it was in longhand, still in my notebook.

Once I had time in my schedule I got to compiling the 58 entries into an indexed list on my computer. It was one of the most satisfying things I have done lately. Not sure what this says about my life as I approach my 60th birthday this month! Let’s just say, it was good to be able to do something that felt like a small accomplishment. I don’t know that anyone else will care, but well, I did, and do! I am taping my index in the front of my Bible. Don’t tell the publishers!

For those who want a look at the creeds and biographies that are in this Bible, I have included it below. One thing to mention is the some of the creeds that are longer or have a number of articles, etc. have are partially included. For instance the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion (1563) includes only 6 and 7. The hope is that you may become aware and further research as you go, I would imagine.

I hope you enjoyed joining me for my bit of crazy. My next project is to reach out to the Bible publisher that had a mistake in one of its diagrams. I noticed while I was studying after the review was submitted. Then things got busy and it’s not really my job, but a side passion, and time passed…and here we are. They probably already caught that mistake. THese things happen. It seems the more one looks at something, the less they see. Hmmm…might be a spiritual lesson in there!
