A poem of praise to end one week and begin another. I read this latest writing to my husband tonight, and he said it was a good reminder. May it give you wings.
Panegyrize
Lord you are BIGGER than my fears.
You are greater than my greatest goals,
and ambitions.
You are more powerful than my perceptions.
You are superior to every supreme thought
ever conceived.
Lord, what do I need more than what you provide?
Your timing, your wisdom, your faithfulness.
What more do I need?
Lord, you give your one AMEN to
every question in your
always singular, always supreme,
always perfect, complete
answer: Jesus, The Word,
The Son, The One who lived, died,
Is coming soon, who lives and intercedes.
What else matters but Your will?
What else matters but Your joy?
Why do we seek to be
satisfied, recognized,
acknowledged, affirmed,
applauded, adored
anywhere else-
but in and by your
all sustaining, all satisfying,
altogether glorifying
PRESENCE.
Oh, Lord, when I taste
Your goodness, then
nothing else is needed,
nothing else satisfies.
Let it be as you will in me,
You are all I need.
