Dear Friends, and Fellow Sojourners,
I am here with an annual Christmas bit of writing. In honor of the gracious God who has given everything. May you find your own voice in these words today. For Jesus, the One, True, Living God and Forever King has given everything-to us- to make possible… all things. To Him be all glory forever.
Lord,
For the strange dreams of the season and especially last night,
I pray
For the eyes that did not perceive, the ears that could not hear,
I pray
For the grief of those who mourn this Christmas,
I pray
For the loved ones out of my reach (but not yours),
I pray
For those I don’t understand today or with whom I disagree,
I pray
For wars and plans in other lands, the many things out of my hands,
I pray
For old friends, and the many forgotten who’ve touched my life in any way,
I pray
For the truly hungry, truly poor, and truly needy,
I pray
For those who cannot yet see they are blind, poor, and naked,
I pray
For the voiceless relying on the goodness, kindness, and faithfulness of others,
I pray
For Your people everywhere,
I pray
For the Kingdom to come,
I pray
For the One who was and is and is to come,
I pray-Come!
Amen.
Merry Christmas, and God bless us every one!
Enthusiastically, Dawn
