Love Song For A Savior {Faith Life Preservers- Day 13}

In open fields of wild flowers,
she breathes the air and flies away
She thanks her Jesus for the daises and the roses…

Some days are just for singing a
love song for my Savior.
So today I will.
Join me?
He’s more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close a heartbeat or a song on her lips
Someday she’ll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He’ll call her and she will come running
and fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and she’ll pray,

“I want to fall in love with You”
Do you have a special song that really captures your love for your Savior,
contemporary or classic?

Lead Me To The Cross…

Lead Me To The Cross
By Chris and Conrad

It has been a while since I participated in Amy’s (Signs, Miracles and Wonders) “Then Sings My Soul Saturdays”. But Easter Weekend seems like a wonderful time to jump in! This song has been going through my mind since mid week, and I so love Chris and Conrad’s version. I love the way K-Love features artist’s occasionally so figured I would share that video…I appreciate the raw version of music. Unadulterated, pure, beautiful. Gifted, talented musicians shine for Him in such real way in these instances.

Happy Resurrection Weekend!

What God Knows

The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
~ Deuteronomy 29:29

God knows what others don’t-
they think they understand,
but my God knows the secret things,
that have been done to me by man.

His eyes
search and roam about the earth
Not a thing escapes His sight,
So I keep my hidden things-
close to me
broken and contrite.

My pain and shame remind me,
of that which I forget,
and in the darkest moments
call to mind my regrets.

Each choice and path did lead me,
further down a road,
although I did not know the way,
and I carried a heavy load.

I ran, I did-
escaping,
 pain that would not depart-
I ran as fast and hard as I could
but could not escape my own heart.

Soiled it felt, soiled it was.
Stained, bruised and scarred.
Until it finally dawned on me-
You can’t run from who you are.

I have come to know Him,
this God who knows it all.
The hidden things, the secret things
the darkness behind the fall.

He does not excuse, or rationalize
these evils done by man,
He does not turn His back on sin,
because He has a plan.

He sees the things you do not know,
although you try to judge-
a person based on what you see,
without an ounce of love.

What God knows,
you do not know-
be careful what you say.

You’re limited,
in what you know, and hindered by your sight.
Would you rather judge
or bring
others to the Light?

So fragile, each heart-
be careful not to betray-

be gentle, so gentle
let compassion be displayed,

His eye is on the sparrow
His love will make the way.

What God knows,
you don’t know.

To have His mind, to have His heart…

compassion is displayed.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
            declares the LORD.
As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9

What I know about my God is that He gives beauty for ashes,
and strength for fears, gladness for mourning and peace for despair.
(A little Crystal Lewis in the mix from Isaiah 61:1-3
Today, I praise the name of Jesus, who brings freedom to the captives, release from darkness AND a crown of beauty to the Glory of God the Father. Amen and Hallelujah!

I am Thankful for This God.
Do you know Him?
Do you believe in Him?

It’s been awhile AND I am late BUT, felt like sharing some Crystal- I wanted Beauty For Ashes but could not find a quality version to share! But I love this one as well! Linking up with Amy @ Signs, Miracles and Wonders

Yearning

Wherever we go, God, we’re trying so hard to make every place
 feel like home left behind…
Yearning
One of my very favorite all time songs is called “Yearning” by
Basia Trzetrzelewska , although this song is not “Christian” by definition, it is a song which has always resonated within me. I believe this song accurately describes the longing of our restlessness as unbelievers or as believers seeking that which can only be satisfied by God, through temporal things. In this beautiful song, Basia describes a deep longing to belong, which I think so clearly speaks to the condition of us all, before our hearts belong to Him who is our Forever Home.
I know it is one of my sincerest love songs to my Savior in it’s raw honesty, beauty and truth.
The song reminds me, how all that we pursue ultimately is a longing of the soul, a yearning, to rest in the everlasting arms of the only one, in whom our heart can ever completely be at home.
I have attached the video so you can hear this beautiful song, however although it is a Rated G video, you may not appreciate the video director’s artistic expression. Hope you still can hear the beauty of this worshipful (to me) song, anyway! It always makes my soul sing along!
2 Corinthians 5:1-5
1 For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2 Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, 3 because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. 4 For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
“But I’m yearning no more
’cause I found my home in you
and now it’s where I belong
I gave up the world to be with you”

Re-Discovering "Sweet Mercies"

I am linking up today (it’s 12:03 AM) with Amy @ Signs, Miracles and Wonders for a brief post for her “Then Sings My Soul, Saturdays”. The song that has been on my mind for the past few weeks is a song I heard years ago in the early days of my relationship with the Lord. It’s called “Sweet Mercies” and originally I heard it sung by David Ruis and felt ministered to with both the words and music. However, I really enjoyed the video clip I found on YouTube and thought I would share this as I “discovered” it and was ministered to anew by the same song.

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”

Have a blessed weekend and may His sweet mercies rain upon you!
