This is a prayer I wrote for my mom in my journal…
My mind often thinks in melody, stanza, verse. I don’t know why…it just processes that way. It sort of just comes …I think it is my most intimate communication with the Living God.
May these words encourage you to pray with pen on paper, allowing whatever comes to come.

I sat at the table preparing for my quiet time.
I had already been willingly displaced from the Living Room by a family member.
I had poured fresh coffee, Bible laid out on the table before me and my journal and pen handy. There are mornings when these tools facilitate well intimacy with God for me, helping reign in my wild mind, allowing me focus for prayer, renewal and instruction.
Then there are days, when I feel like a seashell rolling to and fro in the morning surf.
I can’t get settled, focused and am prone to distraction.

Special thanks to Editor Deb Wolf for the great image she added to the Blog post I wrote- and for putting up with my everyday distracted self! Grateful for you, Deb!

Welcome to Random Journal Day – September! Today, I have a super-duper special guest for you. OK, all the Featured Journal Keepers are special and inspiring, but this here Journal Keeper is one of my favorite Planner Pals! As many of you now know, I have quiet the affection for all things plannerly, including my many amazing planner pals from all over the world! As I ventured out in You Tube land I stumbled upon Nicky’s channel, and we also connected in our Facebook planner group. One of my very favorite videos Nicky shared, had her rigging her camera in an unusual way and…well, I just loved her goofy humor and fun personality. I knew right then her and I were cut from the same cloth and destined to be friends, even if only online at the moment!
I am thrilled to have another Planner Pal here to share her journaling journey with us. Get ready to be blessed! Here is Nicky, in her own words…
