As many of you who follow me know, not only do I live in coastal Rhode Island, but I love this tiny state that boasts big beauty, breathtaking scenery and diverse geography.

Although my guest, Jay Recinto, is sharing a message for Surfers and Surfer wanna – be’s like me, I think it is a great message which applies to all of us as people. This earth is not our own, yet we all have a hand in it.

Life is not found in long lists, but in the time we live awake to people, possibilities and the present moment.

 

It’s Sunday. There’s blue sky above, Fall swirling through the leaves and the smell of change in the air. It’s brisk but sunny enough to do anything. I love Autumn with its Orange happiness peeking from doorways, trees, shop windows and farm-stands. The crickets are chirping outside despite the fact that it’s afternoon. Perhaps they love the season as much as I do. I’m not sure, but either way both the crickets and I need rest sooner or later. I’ve just returned home from church… More

This morning I sat on my patio, trying to find my focus. Seeking  quietness, beauty, the wisdom of morning and the satisfaction that comes from watching birds at the feeder before fetching my breakfast.

Lately, I feel as though my life continues on a path with an unknown end. In a moment I find myself surprised at my response to the things that come my way.

I find myself dissatisfied with myself, restless. Burdened.

Listless…
