Join in and Journal with me!

I will be doing a live Journal prompt exercise on the 21 Days of Journaling Facebook Group Page tonight at 8 PM Eastern Time. It will remain there to do at your leisure afterwards. Also, no worries if you miss it, I will be aiming for a live Periscope at some point this week. Hoping to create a few shorter videos for You Tube as well…so many things to do, so short these days of Summer.

Enjoy the journey, friends!  More

The Fullness of God (JYJWJ)

For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

Colossians 2:9-10

 You pour the coffee, get your Bible and journal, grab that favorite pen and find a quiet spot. You open your Bible feeling unsure. Your mind wanders to your To Do list and you fumble for  a task pad, writing down that thing to be done, only to realize that your mind has begun to assault you with the 14 other things you know you need to do and suddenly instead of feeling peace FULL, you are feeling peace deprived, distracted and thinking that this quiet time stuff might be for the birds; because no matter how hard you try to make it happen…it just never happens in a way that works for you. As a matter of fact, it leaves you feeling either like an epic failure or like one more thing to do on an already overwhelming list of things to do, that ain’t getting done either.

The Master Planner and Me

O LORD, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done marvelous things,
things planned long ago.
Psalm 25:1

I am a planner person. You will rarely find me without my trusty little leather bound companion which I dote over painstakingly planning the days and weeks ahead like a master chess player strategizing each move in a championship game.

It’s no surprise then when I see my day unravel, like a stray ball of yarn discovered and enjoyed by a playful kitten, I get a bit miffed.

Today your prompt is easy. I want you to write about a moment in your life, and I know there have been many, when you experienced God’s providential intervention or care in a powerful way. Below are the Google search definitions. Sometimes I think Google is God’s providential care for my blogging life!

24 Hours with God in History (Prompt 13)

Imagine you could choose one time in history to spend with God for one day (24 hours). It’s kind of like God your Father taking you, His kid, to work for the day. Where would you be in the continuum of time? What would you see and do? Are you with Him for Creation? Walking with Him and Adam in the Garden?  Are you the desert with Him and the Israelites? Or in the Chariot carrying Elijah? Do you hover with Him over the manger, or weep with Him at Gethsemane? What would you ask Him? What do you notice? What do you see?
