What’s On Your Work-desk Wednesday #161

In case you thought that I am not messy, I want you to know the truth.
I was so overwhelmed with the kindness shown through visits and comments
when I joined in with WOYWW for the first time two weeks ago;
I felt I needed to share my messy desk as I prepare to vacation in Maine,
and squeeze in some creativity before I go.
I have a number of projects I am “working on”,
which means, sitting in the To Do pile waiting for some attention.
One is my Psalm 119 Calendar Revamp.
I did a page in that today and it felt nice to take a creative break from
the “other” to do list of my life.
I was hoping to make a collage cover for my journal,
but that will have to wait, since tonight there were Fireworks
and festivities to attend with friends celebrating Independence Day.

I posted the other pages I did earlier this year (before I got sidetracked):
Thank you Julia for Hosting!
Thank you everyone for allowing me to see your inspiration places!

Mondays Are Like Ocean Cliff Daisies

I wonder about these things…
how such beauty can be contained in petals.
How one little girl can
make my heart feel full to overflow,
as she stoops to capture daisies…
in a moment.

How all of life is to be lived like these flowers,
beauty captured in a moment.
Because for all we know this moment is all we may have…

 Can you see it?
Do you walk by or let yourself be touched by this beauty?

She bends low, my heart straining thinking of all
of the moments we’ve shared…
but this one moment…

is beauty, joy and …passing.

But, I stoop too, in the grass,
by her side enjoying the gifts
He has ordained…
I savor it all, drinking in every detail, thirsty.
I drink it in- long.
Rolling the sweetness of it around in my soul.

And thank God for His good and perfect gifts.

Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17
I also am sharing a very special,
DIY Pet Frame project this week!
It’s really simple, honest.
“Wicked” easy. Or I would not tackle it.
Here is the finished product.
Details are HERE !

It’s the last week for the Bloggers Prayer Project;
I will be doing a post this week about this experience,
my goals for continued prayer for the Blogging Community
and a few lessons I learned during this little endeavor.

Framed: DIY Super Easy Pet Frame Project

I received a sample pack of these dog treats for free!

I thought these were too cute and I knew I had to find something to do with them; I already had the frame and picture on my To Do project pile.

I had already created another frame as a
Christmas gift for my mom 2 years ago-
here it is pictured on her wall.
First, I used spray shellac, and let the chosen biscuits
dry. Second, I glued them in place with the Gorilla Glue.
Lastly, I used the Q-Tip to swipe any glue from the frame
around the biscuits.

Adorable trail mix sized Milk Bones.
I think they are so cute!

Tada! Look Ma, I’m crafty!
OK, so here is the finished project.
I keep it out of Banjo’s reach.
When I put it on a low table, it looked like he was going to try
to eat the frame…shellac and all!

So, as you can see this was super simple!
You could paint, or use more/different decorations.
I know some of you could embellish and beautify
a pet frame in a unique and really special way, so I want to invite you to go ahead and make one for your beloved pets and I am adding a link below. If you decide to make one, post a picture on your blog, and link up so we all can see.

Make it simple or go wild!
Come on, please, try- will you?

Celebrating Jesus- A Special Lay Out

My Scrap-booking creation celebrating the Savior.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1:8

This is a layout that truly includes a few of my favorite saved bits and pieces-cards, magazine clippings, even an envelope! I used products from Creative Memories (pens, pages, stickers, taper runner, fridge frame) and Faithfully Yours (silver embellishment stickers). I did smudge gold ink on cotton balls over the white card-stock stating “Our Joy Is In Him” and the John 3:16 verse. The Crucified Christ was a a beautiful linen card my friend Sara brought me back from a missionary trip. The Ascending Christ is a card I saved which I bought when I began my walk with the Faithful One. I ended up adding one more final verse from the same card. And the final Lion of The Tribe of Judah picture wraps up this lay out…He is Risen, and Behold He is will return again soon!

Maranatha!

Come, Lord Jesus!

Celebrating The One Who Was and Is and Is To Come with you!

The Manger scene is from an envelope of Christmas cards.
I just cut it to my own specifications and whala-embellishment!

The tomb picture was taken from a track that I had saved.
The silver sticker states John 14: 6
“I am the Way The Truth and The Life.”

Then I noticed something missing! Can you see what I added?

The Tomb Is Empty!

Have a Blessed Easter Sunday!
