This morning I decided to film a video (Part 1 and 2) about the Bible Stack under my desk. I have such a close relationship with Scripture as it is the vehicle most often used by the Holy Spirit to teach and guide me into timeless truths.

I have not been choosing to do Book Reviews for awhile now, but recently Julie, at Handlebar, reached out to me about reviewing My Holy Bible for Girls, Journal Edition.
Since the Bible is my main interest and journaling my passion, how on earth could I say no?
I couldn’t. At least I didn’t.
So let me tell you what I think about this particular offering from Zondervan to the Bible Reading and Faith Journaling Communities.

…we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially sin that distracts us. We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up. Hebrews 12:1
Good Morning, Friends. Do you recall on my last post I mentioned I’d written two poems that morning? Well here is the second, based on my meditation and reflection of the readings in Hebrews. A lot really stood out to me, and as you know, every time we read scripture new insights are revealed. This is why we never grow weary reading the same books. If we approach the Word of the Living God with expectation, humility and sincerity, we will hear new things. I know this is true for me. I pray it is for you too. Our God is an infinite wellspring of inspiration.
Great is His faithfulness!

Has this world been so kind to you that you should leave with regret? There are better things ahead than any we leave behind. C. S. Lewis
This morning I have written two poems. I pray this one causes you to consider the Better Country referred to in The Book of Hebrews.

Yesterday I stated that the best way to celebrate your birthday every day is by giving yourself away. I want to clarify. I’m not talking about selling yourself out, or being taken advantage of in any way- don’t misunderstand.
I am talking about being a willing giver.
We all have something to give, don’t we? Whether time, talent, cash, caring or creativity. None of us is ever truly empty-handed.
Each year as my birthday rolls around, I start to thinking what I would like to have…only to come to the same conclusion, I really need nothing.
