Becoming Crisdori Studios-An Interview with Creative Entrepreneur Christine Miranda

One of the wonderful things about being a free-flying writer is choosing who and what you want to focus on. I write about who and what I feel is worth writing about.  I am free to focus on who I find inspiring, what I am learning or want to learn, or even just whatever grabs my attention, passion or fancy. I choose. It is one of the few places I feel I have complete control, and I have opportunities I do not accept as my time is limited, and the joy for me is in the freedom to write as I will, or feel led- as I go.

I enjoy interviews, and have been interviewed BUT really love being the one asking the questions. I love finding out about individuals and their unique lives, challenges, what makes them tick, and what they are passionate about and all the little quirks that make them who they are. You could say I am a people person. It’s a funny thing…I find many people can be around the same people all the time and never know them. It is my joy and pleasure to draw out individuals and learn who they are and why they believe they are on this good earth.

I am honored to have a fellow Planner Girl and businesswoman here today to share her creative entrepreneurial journey to date. I have had the pleasure of watching her flesh out her dream from scratch and bring it into vivid, living color.  More

Random Journal Day #55 with Patsy Paterno

Welcome to this October! Here it is a new month and Random Journal Day Weekend! Besides that Fall is my very favorite month, mainly because Orange is the happiest color ever created. That’s why it Pumpkins wear it. Well, I am thrilled to have one of the most inspired and inspiring journal keepers you will ever meet here today. Patricia Paterno or Patsy, as she’s known, shares her faith-based journal writing regularly and it blesses many. She is one of the first bloggers I stumbled upon as a new blogger in 2011 and I loved her creative devotional sharing. Patsy continues to inspire from one end of the globe to the other as well as in her home country, the Philippines. Patsy’s creativity is a family affair and they have a gift shop which includes beautiful journals called Papemlroti! Please welcome our fellow Journal Keeper, Patsy and be sure to join us throughout the weekend for lots more inspiration and journal sharing fun!

Well here we are for another Random Journal Day and it is a very special CELEBRATORY event this month since the first Friday of July 2014 happens to be the 4th of July! So, dig into your old journal bins or choose one of the journal prompts from 21 Days of Journaling and share your post with us anytime this week and through next weekend depending on your party schedule. How about sharing and old fourth of July post from 10 years ago? Or maybe last year, the wonderful thing when we look back at those pages is seeing all the the little things we often forget. Be sure and check out our little Summer Giveaway via Rafflecopter as well.

Our Featured Journal Keeper this month is someone who has become near and dear to my heart and the first fellow blogger I have had the opportunity to meet in real life! . Dawn Maurice blogs her journey of love, art and faith over at Heart Du Jour. Her beautiful and creative journal doodles are a delectable feast for word lovers and art journal keepers alike. I have received some of her creations via snail mail and they have come at just the right time. Please welcome our fellow journal girl, New Englander, pet lover and more – the very creative Dawn MauriceMore

I remember watching the glee in my daughter’s eyes as she painted and scribbled her way through her childhood years. I have so many pictures of her painting and I saved way too many of her early scribbles, paintings, drawings and artistic creations. Art gives us permission to be children again, free from the limitations of adulthood for a bit of time. Free to be, create, and dabble in making something from nothing. What could be more exhilarating?

Welcome to the Random Journal Day Link Up for June! I am overflowing with enthusiasm (naturally) in excess tonight as I tap out these words to share all the good stuff going on here this weekend. Big breaths…OK. So, as you all know we link up and share from our journals the first Friday of each month. All Journal Keepers (and planner addicts?) are welcome. Please jump in as you are and hang out with us. We are an easy-going bunch, and open to all sorts of nonsense!

This month is THREE times as special because not only do we have an extremely wonderful Featured Journal Keeper but we also have a Giveaway from her very generous heart and soul! All of this coinciding with our 21 Days of Journaling in June journey. Phew. Awesomeness abounds.
