My  Fitness “Story”
Dawn Paoletta has worked in the field of fitness and exercise for more than 20 years as a  Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach. She believes in the broader definition of exercise which encompasses the philosophy of  sound body and sound mind. She began weight training in her early twenties and enjoyed the discipline and results she experienced. About the same time she began working part time in the fitness industry while still in school. While working with the staff she discovered her own love for helping others. She was offered a position with a groundbreaking company which trained clients exclusively in their homes or offices in 1987 and the rest is, as they say, history. Her own journey in fitness includes a number of AAU, ANBC and NPC Bodybuilding competition wins in class, Overall and Best Poser.
 Dawn’s reputation for winning Best Poser often allowed her numerous opportunities to create unique and entertaining posing routines for fellow bodybuilders. 
In 1999 she set a state Power-Lifting record in the Dead-lift with a 325 pound Sumo- style pull and overall win at the ADFPA Rhode Island State Open Championships. 

Seeking balance in her own training led her to explore a variety of styles of Yoga and she became certified as a  Yoga-Fit trained instructor.

 Dawn also served as Personal Training Director at an exclusive women’s gym and during that time became smitten with Pilates attaining training and certification in
 Mat Pilates exercise. She has created and led successful Relaxation and Stress Relief classes in corporate business environments. Dawn has also taught a variety of Group Exercise formats and incorporates basic, result oriented resistance work with creativity, enthusiasm and precise cueing. With a background in PE and Exercise Science, and an understanding and ability to apply knowledge in the real world she offers insight, encouragement and support for those who are seeking to live healthier lifestyles and fit exercise into busy lives.

“Honestly, although I loved competing at the time, what I gained along the way is more important to me than the trophies I won, which I no longer have. The useful aspect of my fitness journey is not in the competitions but the journey and the lessons learned in getting there. This is what I bring to the table and long to share. The trophies, in the end are really meaningless; life lessons learned, priceless. All applicable, useful and transferable to helping others identify, connect and reach their own goals.” 

“I really love to help people tap into their own ability to reach their goals. My approach is simple and straightforward.
She realizes that life is about change and enjoys designing innovative programs which draw from a variety of disciplines, fitness components and activities, specific to the current season in life. Whether working with beginning exercisers, postpartum moms, stressed out corporate employees, entrepreneurs or stay at home moms, she offers each a balanced, attainable approach to work out their fitness goals in their real world day to day lives! 

After many years of gym training Dawn currently enjoys outside workouts most, especially along the beautiful coastline of Rhode Island. She believes Yoga on the beach, seaside walks, shoreline dribbling with a soccer ball and scenic hikes along rocky coast are great ways to reap physical and mental health benefits! Dawn confesses she does still train occasionally in her own basement home gym. You can find her walking her dog Banjo along the Sea Wall in all seasons!
