Wishing you very Merry Christmas. May this poem I wrote in 2017 bless you from this Christmas Eve 2019 through the New Year 2020!

Hush! He is Near

How can we hear Him

amid the noise?

Consumed by desires,

we can’t hear God’s voice.

We think we know best,

what will satisfy our souls

but in the end, our own plans

spin us out of control.

We  rush here and there,

to escape our fear-

concluding our hope

is found in a new year.

Hush-

He is here!

The One we await,

and in waiting share

the hope of this longing,

relief from despair…

the profusion of stars,

birthed under His care

the peace of His presence,

good news to declare-

though we wait for His coming,

Behold, he is near!

Thank you, Dawn. Tears, just tears. . . Wishing you the merriest of Christmases, and the Happiest of New Year’s. May the best of 2019 be the worst of 2020. Love, Trece

Thanks, Dawn, for the reminder to hush and consider God is near! I also like the new WP “Koi” theme you chose for your blog…same as mine 😀 https://madhatterpoetry.com/ Blessings in the New Year!
