Wishing you very Merry Christmas. May this poem I wrote in 2017 bless you from this Christmas Eve 2019 through the New Year 2020!

Hush! He is Near

How can we hear Him

amid the noise?

Consumed by desires,

we can’t hear God’s voice.

We think we know best,

what will satisfy our souls

but in the end, our own plans

spin us out of control.

We  rush here and there,

to escape our fear-

concluding our hope

is found in a new year.

He is here!

The One we await,

and in waiting share

the hope of this longing,

relief from despair…

the profusion of stars,

birthed under His care

the peace of His presence,

good news to declare-

though we wait for His coming,

Behold, he is near!
