21 Days of Journaling in November and a Short but TRUE Story for You!

I stopped in to Gansett Goods,  a local gift store here in Narragansett, Rhode Island, with my dear friend Christine who was visiting from Texas last month. Little did I know that after a casual comment about seeing my book displayed alongside journals would lead to…well, my book alongside journals right there in this unique and wonderful gift shop.

After our initial connection and conversation I ordered books – the first time since 2017 and the store owner Jaime and I  got together and had a little display party. AT least that’s what it seemed like. Apparently, she had a vision for my books to be on display by those journals as well!

We adjusted lots of journals, designer candles with matching matches packages, beautiful mugs and…wait for it…PLANNERS, on the display table and chatted about everything from creativity, artists, and business to those deep things that come up in neat ways by God’s design. How cool is that?

Meanwhile, if you are a local Rhode Islander OR one of our many visitors, be sure and stop by her store for unique and beautiful gifts from local artists and all kinds of creatives everywhere. Hey if you’re in the area and buy my book, I’ll run over there and sign it, if you like, and maybe we can chat over coffee at Cool Beans! I’ll fill you in on the best places to go here in the littlest state with the sweetest shores!

Next thing to know … for those who have purchased my book, THANK YOU- and in November I am thanking you with 21 Days of Journaling! I will hold daily readings, prompts and other ridiculous fun in a private Facebook group to help you fire up your  journaling practice.

Sometimes things don’t go as I plan, imagine or intend. But, I know one thing…what’s for me will not pass me. I can trust God for all I see and don’t see, and all that comes to pass and doesn’t. Same goes for you…are you ready to see where a simple daily journaling practice can lead? How writing thoughts can help transform a heart and mind. Discover the power to be found between the end of the pen and the paper…and the surprises that await as we journal for discovery and delight!

It’s so important that we take the time to celebrate life, cultivate the gifts God gives us and share them with one another. This is my way of sharing, once again, a bit of that -as I go and as WE go together!

You See

You See

You see,

saying, “I see clearly.”

You see,

passing judgement in time.

You see,

so you say,  the sins of others

from long ago days-

You see,

and in so saying,

are blind.

Hello Dear Faithful Friends and Followers,

It’s been awhile since I have written for this blog consistently. I remember the days of writing every single morning and sharing…it seems like a memory now. Part of this is my schedule is a little less roomy. Another part is I think I am like Peter looking at the water, instead of the Lord, and I don’t always see clearly. I see all the obstacles- the site that needs updating, the time to write, edit, revise a post, the sharing to Social Media, the critical voices within my own head  and without, all the steps and none of the joy I used to have when I was so excited to simply share what God had shown me as I went about my days and weeks.

All that to say…here I am.

A simple share on a blog that is woefully in need of updating from a girl in the smallest state sharing as she goes, this morning’s meanderings, slightly edited, moderately revised, but absolutely imperfect, because – after all…that ‘s how I roll most days.

Without further ado, from my journal and heart this morning…may it be a blessing to you.
