This poem for you today fresh from my morning journal.

May it bless you today as we come close to the day we celebrate the birth of our Savior and Lord, Jesus. Emmanual – God’s desire has always been to be with us…

may our heart’s turn to Him!

Look up, consider the stars…Have a blessed and beautiful holiday- may you be truly free and able to celebrate in a spirit of love and grace. God with us.

I hope the poem helps you draw near.

Hush! He is Near

How can we hear Him

amid the noise?

Consumed by desires,

we can’t hear God’s voice.

We think we know best,

what will satisfy our souls

but in the end, our own plans

spin us out of control.

We  rush here and there,

to escape our fear-

concluding our hope

is found in a new year.

He is here!

The One we await,

and in waiting share

the hope of this longing,

relief from despair…

the profusion of stars,

birthed under His care

the peace of His presence,

good news to declare-

though we wait for His coming,

Behold, he is near!
