This morning’s offering was actually written yesterday morning. The Poetry as Pathway Series will be coming by June. God willing. In the meantime I pray these words encourage you today.

Ascending The Staircase

That I would be so satisfied

in what you’ve given,

there would be no bone

of discontent within me.

That I would be full of the peace and joy

which comes with the presence of God

alone in Christ Jesus.

That I would not be distracted

by the temporal but overflowing

with grace and truth- willingly

sharing from my abundance.

That not a vengeful word

nor vile action would characterize

my ways or days.

That I might know you, now, not
waiting for difficult moments to

call out your name…

Abba!

But, daily may I know you,

grow in grace,

glow with truth,

enjoy your presence

like the springtime flower

fresh with dew

like the morning showers

bringing forth the new.

like a mother hen and her

protective power

like a faithful friend

at late night hour.

You alone, Lord,  are my

Strong Tower.

You alone, Lord,  are my

Strong Tower.

The desire of His children whom He has blessed and want to live for Him.

Thank you Dawn for the dawn of your words. They shed light on my path and make the journey easier, especially in the night season. Your words become passion’s flame in my heart. Desire ignites and I see Him, the One whom my soul loves in plain sight.
