The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. However, there are some of you who do not believe.”

John 6:63-64

Without eternity

there is no reason  to smile,

and every reason

to be afraid.

Noise is required to

fill the silent spaces-

the need to dull the senses

grows.

Beauty is marred.

Peace is  muffled.

Opinions multiply and

hate is exalted.

Without eternity

Love is an existential concept

instead of an ever present Being.

Without eternity,

there is no Capital G, God.

Without God,

we are an altogether hopeless race-

a faceless humanity,

for God precedes hope.
