A meditation from my morning Bible reading …I actually wrote this earlier this week as I read and pondered 1 John- one of my favorite letters in the New Testament.

Three Stones
Three stones have been given
more precious than gold
three stones have been revealed,
to have and to hold,
Each one of them a testament
to eternity-
three stones from the Beginning
Coexisting in reality.
In these stones are wisdom,
gleaned before the dawn of time
when stones and trees existed,
only in the Maker’s mind.
