The Return

An offering from my morning meditation on Hebrews, for those who have ears, let them hear…

I pray these words are a blessing to you today.

Once He came-
a burning flame

to deal with our sin

A second time He will come

to gather up His kin

Not for sin

will He appear

when from On High

He returns

for those who eagerly wait

and whose hearts for Him

do yearn.

People die once, and after that they are judged.  Likewise, Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of humanity, and after that he will appear a second time. This time he will not deal with sin, but he will save those who eagerly wait for him.

Hebrews 9:27-28  Names of God Bible (NOG)

  1. This painting speaks even louder than any words about the gentleness and love we experience as we learn to rest in our Lord's arms! Beautiful.BlessingsMia

  2. Ahhh, my friend. What a beautiful picture to go along with such a comforting truth from God's Word. You know I LOVE Dudash's portraits, too, as I've used quite a few in my own blog. I don't recall seeing this one. I hope one day (soon?!) to learn that you are the proud and oh-so-happy owner of one of his paintings.Much love to my BBFF,Pam

  3. Reminds me of the song…”This is how it feels to be held…” Always wanted someone just to tell me that everything would be all right. And He does.
