Turning the Tables

Today I am turning the tables on YOU, my readers…

Have you ever been in a class and had the teacher ask you to come up and teach while she sat in as your student?

How about this one, you walk into church and  the Pastor hands you the microphone and says, “Your’re preaching today!”

Her’s a good one, you take the car to your mechanic, and he pays you to fix his car…OK, scratch the last one, but stay with me for this ride.

Today, I am turning my blog over to you.

Yup. You heard me correctly.

It’s been quiet since the start of Write 31 Days, and I  want to have a conversation…or at least a few comments. I’ll start…

Are you writing for the 31 Day Challenge this October? Why or why not?

Are you a regular reader of this blog or a new friend I should get to know ? Feel free to introduce yourself, and share here.

Are you following the posts for Writing Redeemed?

If you could ask me a question about writing in general or writing redeemed, what would it be?

What would you like to see me include in the topic of Writing Redeemed during the 31 Days?

ASK me anything…

I am Writing Redeemed in October for 31 Days,

See ALL the posts as they are published write HERE!

    * Writing Redeemed ??? Guess I missed that one or is that the same as the 31 days?
    * Ask you anything? How do you stay so committed to your writings?
    * What is your favorite journal right now that you use daily and take everywhere with you?
    * When is your next You Tube? I miss listening to you and seeing what is new in your ” Intersanctum ” lol
    * How about a Boot Camp on Building our own 2017 Planners camp ? Have it on FB in a private group.

One thing I will say for clarification: Yes, Writing Redeemed is the topic of the 31 Days of Writing in October…and it’s what I mostly do…Or at least that’s what I believe…

I didn’t know about the 31 days. I read your blog frequently and love it. A question about your writing would be do you ponder a topic for a day and then write about it and how much do you then retread it and delete or edit it?

Thank you, Bethany, I appreciate your commenting and reading my words. The pondering timeline from start to finish can vary, for many reasons. Sometimes I have a seed thought or theme, and what happens is usually, I carry it within and God allows teachable moments and other additions in my daily coming and going which add to that small seed thought. Also reading scripture , praying and mediating on the word nourish the thought. Other times I just have a sort of spilling of words, poetry or thoughts in my journal (usually after quiet time) and depending on different factors…I might ask God if this is for the blog, or to hold onto it for other sharing contexts. Often I scribble stuff in my journal then edit and revise on the computer. But there are times (like today’s blog post, I just sit and write – quick edit- hope for the best + trust God and hit publish. I often find minor grammatical errors and fix them when I catch them. This is because of the posting daily schedule for the 31 days. Sometimes I edit and delete, change more than others, but I do them almost concurrently. I prefer walking away and coming back to most work but time and inspiration can also influence what I publish or don’t. I hope this seems clear.

Dawn- I consider myself an old friend, not in age, of course, because we are around the same age. I am posting during 31 days, but not a series, more of a travelogue since we are traveling this fall and living on our boat. I like doing 31 days but didn’t have a firm topic, so that’s one reason I’m not joining in this year.

I love your posts, and I read them, even though I don’t comment every time. I love your authenticity and word play. Humor is always good!

I miss RJD…could we have a reunion some time?

    Love and hugs-
    Kel

I’m sort of doing the writing challenge, but I have to admit, I’m not really feeling it so far. That may have a lot to do with the fact that life has been crazy hectic this past week as I prepared for my daughter’s baby shower yesterday. Now that it’s over, I hope to have a bit of breathing/writing space and that my brain will shift gears and think of other things.

I’ve been a blog friend for quite a few years now. I think we found each other through Beth, though it’s been so long I’m not sure.

I have been reading your posts even though I haven’t been commenting.

Stacy, I remember “meeting” you…and it was in my very earliest blogging days- you really inspired me with your down to earth, everyday sharing. Thank you! You have a lot on your plate…let God breathe new life into your days, and words, in His time, my friend! Rest, sit in His presence when you can…and remember He is always with you either way…YOU ARE GONNA BE A GRANDMA? This is the first, yes? WOW!!!
