There is a song playing in my ears,

sounds like this-

nobody cares, nobody cares.

Walked long through tumultuous years,

no shortcuts,

nobody cares.

Faced the giants,

stared down fears

carried a few,

nobody cares.

I’ve gone the distance,

tried to be fair-

win, lose or draw,

nobody cares.

Invested life in life

years for tears,

some you win, some you lose…

nobody cares.

Suffered behind the veiled wall,

heeded the voice when was called,

hidden things, secrets shared,

blind, deaf and mute they are-

nobody cares.
