The Revelation Prayer

God, make a fresh start in me,
shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life.

Psalm 51: 10 (The Message)

Your will is not for me to see and judge,

but to see and love…

with eyes of grace;

Because Love transforms,

not judgement.

Help me to see clearly with and through

eyes of grace, and faith

instead of the frail eyes

that rely on human ingenuity-

the futile strength

dependent on the limited vision

and intellect of man.

Lord, open my eyes once more,

to hope and grace and truth.

Where I am critical,

show me your wounded hands.

Where I am judgemental,

show me your broken body.

Where I am hopeless,

Show me your poured out blood…

the blood that takes away the stain of the world.

For I am naked,

thirsty and poor,

but you alone will

clean and clothe me,

quench my thirst,

make me rich.

You alone,

For I am redeemed

and this is

The Revelation.

  1. “For I am redeemed and this is the Revelation.” I love what you say in these few words.
