For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’- Acts 17:28

This might not be what you think, but as I popped on Facebook this morning to update my status, this is what I wrote (with a teensy bit of editing)…

You can worship Jesus anywhere, anytime…in Spirit in Truth, online and off. When you live life redeemed, you avail yourself to a great  adventure. Why would anyone choose anything less?

While you speak of your religion,

I will speak of my Jesus.

While you point out the flaws of all religion,

I will speak of the perfection of Jesus.

While you talk of your rights,

I will talk of the Righteousness of Christ.

***

While you you put down others in the name of your beliefs,

I will exalt the name of Jesus, who hung on a cross between two thieves.

As you shout and accuse for the power to choose,

I will stand firm with the One in whom I can’t lose.

As you fight for your life, and your territory,

I will cling to the Author of eternity.

Jesus I praise you, you are my King.

Jesus I thank you for everything,

both unseen and seen, both present and past.

I trust in my God, the First and the Last.

Jesus is now, who he was then,

To God be the Glory.

And in Him, Amen.
