Blueberry Loft Design

Have you ever felt so inspired when looking at someone else’s writing that you felt moved to improve your own? Well, when I think of my dear bloggy, fellow Journal Girl and inRL friend Dawn Maurice, I get crazy excited, because she creates the kind of beautiful writing that makes me long to slow down, take time and savor my moments more…or at least be NEATER in my very, very, messy journals!  There is something soothing and calming about the black hand lettering I have come to adore and am continuously blessed to see.

Not to mention that a friend who is artsy always sends love in the mail which is fabulous, amazing and perfect!

I came to know Dawn through…well, blogging! Her personal blog is called Heart Du Jour and features her beautiful handiwork regularly and daily life. Over time and through communicating through our blogs and e-mail we became friends. God is pretty awesome that way. He can bring sisters in Christ together in any old way He sees fit. You can read about the first time we met through the inRL event I held at my home HERE. Since Dawn lives in Massachusetts, and I in Rhode Island, it has been both possible and fun to get to know this fellow blogging Sista  in person as well as online. We got to spend a day in the Summer touring local art studios in Portsmouth and Little Compton. It was memorable. I look forward to our next adventure in real life together. Meanwhile we are hoping for an artsy play-date together soon.

Meantime, if you are looking for something unique, wonderful and handcrafted, you will want to check out Dawn’s artsy place called The Blueberry Loft and visit her Etsy store. She has made the most beautiful Christmas Ornaments and even a hand-lettered mug. But what I love most, and this will be no surprise, are her beautiful planner-pages, and scripture/quote bookmarks. I love paper!

Below is a preview of some of her wonderful work. Also, Dawn is great about working on something special for you. So contact her if you have something in mind and you love her lettering style as much as I do. Dawn regularly shares her journals here at Random Journal Day as well, and also participates in many art and pen pal type swaps. I will share her…said in a slightly possessive tone.

You’re welcome.

I got chills reading this story. I a geek for stories like this. While there are a lot of woes to social media I truly love the relationships I have gained using social media particularly Facebook. I think I can relate because some of my cherished moments are the heartfelt conversations I have online that have gotten me through some challenging times. The online Christian community can be amazing when support is needed through prayers and sharing scripture and for that I am very grateful.
Thank you again for this story and opening your heart…..

I agree, the Christian relationships I have developed online have been a powerful testimony of His sovereignty! His Body is NOT contained, His Spirit goes where we go…Thanks for commenting.
