In the days ahead I will be sharing some thoughts on developing a writing life which will include and emphasize the benefits of belonging to a Writer’s Group, the power of the pen (over the keyboard), why you want to be a journal keeper, writing out of your comfort zone and many more fun, informative and inspiring posts. There might be a few guests popping by offering their own words. AND I will be giving away one copy of the anthology I am included in from this year.
Meanwhile, I offer you…
A Writer’s Psalm
I may be just one
But when the day is done
I will pour out my soul
Counting not the toll
‘Tis the choice I make
To live life awake
Not as one asleep
Nor my words to keep
I set them free
Chasing liberty
Many paths I’ve gone
Cut through darkest dawn
Bleeding words like wine
Knowing they’re not mine
But a bigger plan
than the hand of man
is this writer’s fate
Through they Master’s gate
Taking pen as sword
seeking not reward
but instead to heal
comfort and reveal
trusting what I do not see
knowing it’s reality.
