Reach high, for the stars lie hidden in your soul.

Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.

~Pamela Vaull Starr

I have a little surprise for you, friends. I wanted to share a special Random Journal Day surprise with you. It didn’t go as I planned, but ya know, life is like that. So for this month’s RJD link I want to invite you to grab a tall glass of Iced Tea, Lemonade or H20 and come sit across from me as I share a peek into my journal. Normally I don’t share from a current journal…but when you are winging it, it just sorta happens!

So for my RJD share today I offer you my most random share of all. I really got the random right this time! Watch the video and you will understand. This is what it is like to sit across the table from me. Hope you still love me. Happy Random Journal Day!

For my readerly loves, here are the words of the journal share:

Disappointed?

When Stacy, from I Carried A Watermelon shared that (in) Courage was seeking writers via a link on my Facebook page a little while back- I went ahead despite the nagging doubts, insecurities and raging insecurity I felt and applied with 475 other candidates.

I prayed and waited. I pondered and prayed more.

I imagined, “what if?” and I considered why not.

When I received the e-mail sharing the news I took it in stride.

Am I disappointed?

Heck, no- I tried!

I am sharing this with our Random Journal Day Community and friends at It Kaitlyn’s #fmfpartysnailmail for a special link up about The Written Word

Oh my goodness…..I am grinning ear to ear AND I need a box full of tissues to sop up the mess! It was wonderful to see and hear you and I can’t wait till the day we sit across the table from each other. (I keep telling Tim any trip we make to New England will include RI whether he likes it or not.) Love you, my sister. You ARE a star and you’ll find your success one of these days. 🙂

I really enjoyed your video, Dawn. So much fun, and I thought your entry was gripping. No need to apologize for that. There are so many things to say in so many ways in our journals. They need to be real, and sometimes, real is raw. Frankly, I think you ARE an in-courager! So there!
What did you mean, “your channel?”
    Joyful Journaling!

Great treat to see and hear you in your own space, in your unpolished ‘winging it’ way.Wow, you have a LOT of journals. Amazing to use so many for so many different things. I’m awed by them. And I actually loved the first raw poem you read, “Derailed.” I loved that it hit you so hard when you read it because YOU knew what it meant–more than we did even. Yes, hard images, of course. But that’s what journals are about. The rawness, the emptying of ourselves of whatever we have onto the page. Thanks for sharing this way.

By the way, your beach look looks a whole lot like mine (except I really wish I had your curly hair!)
