Gather me up, Scoop me into your arms…
Carry me,
legs failing,
heart heavy,
breath labored…
stumbling
and I don’t care if I fall
no desire to get up again
can barely hear you call…
wondering,
can I walk this journey after all-
Lift me from the path awhile,
that I might draw strength to carry on,
find my legs again
remember my feet
walk alongside you
once more..
with confidence.
