Today, dear friends, cling to this truth:
You are under the umbrella of His
all consuming, faithful love.

Our security is not in the things of this world, which are temporary.
Our security is not in the hands of our next leader,
but in the hands of the Creator of every tribe, nation, tongue-
The One True Living God.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
The One who is and was and is to come.

So today our Faith Life Preserver is found in the power
 of His Word and the promise of His Presence.

For the word of God is alive and active.
Sharper than any double-edged sword,
 it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit,
 joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.
Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes
 of him to whom we must give account.
Hebrews 4:12

“This is what the LORD says–Israel’s King and Redeemer,
the LORD Almighty:
I am the first and I am the last;
apart from me there is no God.
Isaiah 44:6

 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?
It is God who justifies.
Who is he that condemns?
Christ Jesus, who died—
more than that,
who was raised to life
is at the right hand of God
and is also interceding for us.
 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble
or hardship
or persecution
or famine
or nakedness
or danger
or sword?
As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
    we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No
in all these things we are more than conquerors
through him who loved us.
For I am convinced
that neither death nor life,
neither angels nor demons,
neither the present
nor the future,
nor any powers,
neither height nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us
from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:33-39

 My sheep listen to my voice;
I know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life,
and they shall never perish;
 no one can snatch them out of my hand.
My Father, who has given them to me,
is greater than all;
 no one can snatch them
out of my Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one.
John 10:27-30

Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God;
trust also in me.
John 14:1

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God,
“who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1:8

In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone,
O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
