Rock On

You know, I love the Word of God.
I love Rocks.
Sometimes these two loves mingle…
I was reading Romans this past week and it just ministered deeply to my heart, soul, mind and spirit.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Romans 12:11

This big rock has been on my desk for a few months. Unsuspecting.
The little one is a newer find, from a recent beach walk.
The verses have been read by me before…
but on this day, this verse rocked my world.
So the rock and verse have happily married and are committed to remind me daily from my desk.
He has given us all we need.

I prayed this verse for myself.
I pray it for you.
May we never be lacking in zeal, but always keeping our spiritual fervor, serving Him,
who has chosen us.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Bloggers Prayer Project: 31 Days of Praying For Bloggers

First, I want to say I am humbled and awed at the same time by this journey which began last year for me, here in the Blogosphere. It all started because I felt as though my heart would explode if I did not find a way to share my heart for Him through the vehicle of writing. I barely knew what a blog was, when I stumbled on the means to make it happen. Thank you e-blogger and Google. I never expected that it would be all it has become. I never anticipated the many obedient hearts that were already sharing and expanding His Kingdom via the internet. My small puzzle piece fits into the final outcome He himself has envisioned and created. For that I am grateful. I am also amazed and I continue to live in a constant state of amazement and wonder as I stumble like the child I am through this wonderful Toy Store of life, with you.

Would you join me as I celebrate and embark on an adventure?

It has been on my heart to commit to pray for a Blogger a day intentionally and to
entreat others to do the same.
I thought I would start with 31 Days because it seemed like a good place to start.
I want to allow you time to make your list of 31 Bloggers so I thought I should share in advance of the start date. Initially I had planned to start on May 1st. But with the passing of my Father-in-Law and the funeral details, it was put on hold. God’s timing is perfect, though and this caused me to realize that anytime is a good time to start on this type of adventure.
I decided that my one year “Blogiversary” *May 20*
would be my start date.

I also thought I would invite my fellow bloggers
to join me in hopes of covering
 the entire Blogosphere in prayer.
(Join in and start anytime!)
I am thankful to Melanie over at Only A Breath for graciously, freely providing the beautiful badge/button for this special project.
If you would like to join in:
1. Commit and choose 31 fellow Bloggers to pray for with a start date.

2. Write up your “List of 31” Bloggers in a post to publish on your Blog.

3. Grab the Badge for your Post or Side Bar (or both, since it is so pretty!).

4. Come link-up here and leave a comment to let me know you are participating!

1. A daily Post with prayer for the Blogger you cover in prayer that day.
2. Let the blogger know their special prayer date via e-mail
(pray for some private requests if they desire and you are willing).
* I will keep the link open for at least a month for you to take time to make your list and start date. Of course it is always a good time to pray, so jump in, share and let’s cover the Blogosphere in prayer!
* If you have any questions, concerns or thoughts feel free to contact me @

31 Days of Praying for Bloggers: Round 1 (5/20/12-6/19/12)

Well, here is my first round of 31 Days of praying for some bloggers who I have followed, found or stumbled upon during my one year sojourn here in the Blogosphere. This is a portion of the many wonderful friends and just a starting place for my commitment to pray for them individually for one month.
How I will do this:
After writing, publishing and linking the post, starting May 20, 2012- I will write a brief post which includes a scripture and/or a scripture-based prayer as well as whatever the words
God gives me for that person on that day. These will be short, intentional posts.
I’m diving in…by faith.
If you want to join in prayer briefly for that fellow blogger when you see the post- great!
Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.

This is my gift back to the bloggy world which has given me so much this past year.
So, friends, this is Round 1. As God leads I will commit to a Round 2 etc.
Meantime, I am praying that God would do great and mighty things through and for us.
It was a challenge to pick just 31. I trust God for all I can see, can’t see and for all I have yet to see.
Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
Isaiah 29:14

Oh Lord, that we would truly count on you and not in what we know, or think we know.
That we would trust in your Spirit and the not work of our hands. That we would put aside anything that shows a reliance on the arm of strength; the flesh, instead of your amazing power, grace and truth.
Oh Lord, we do not know what to do but we set our hearts and minds upon you. Make us wise and not fools for your names sake.
In Jesus name.
